Review seat spacing

Sun, 07/23/2017 - 02:15
Considering building a micro bootlegger this winter to replace my 21' double. Can it be assumed paddlers have to be in sync given the closeness of the seats? Have seen the pics on this site and would like to see more pics if anyone has a gallery I can view. Any pics of two adults underway? thxs

Full disclosure I have never built a boat. My kayaking experience is limited to occasional outings on Hobie open cockpit boats with my wife and our two dogs. A new phase of kayaking may have entered my life with a discovery last summer when walking my dog. A neighbor was being relocated to senior ...

Sun, 07/09/2017 - 13:32
Was getting ready to repaint the bottom on my Borealis XL when I noticed the two blisters in the pics below. One is about the size of a quarter, the other about five times that size. I opened up the largest one with a razor blade, the glass/resin has pulled away from the wood. The good news is that ...

Epoxy impact marks

Sat, 07/08/2017 - 06:38
While doing the end pour, I banged into the tree I was propping the boat on. I have two small (2-3 mm) white impact marks in the glass on the deck. My thought is to simply ignore them. I'm not at all worried about the integrity of the boat. However, if I wanted to clean them up, would it be ...
